Regional Author's Book Fair

Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards will be given to the top four authors based on the following criteria.

Best First Page – Opening page that immediately draws the reader in,
creating curiosity and a desire to learn more about the story. 
Strong Character Development – Main character that is believable,
relatable, and original.
Engaging Dialogue – Dialogue that advances the plot, reveals information,
and contributes to the overall narrative structure.
Effective Prose – Clear, concise, and engaging writing style that enhances
the reading experience.

Eligibility:
Work must be published (self / hybrid / traditional publishing acceptable). Must be actively for sale on Amazon.
Open to authors of all ages in the NY/NJ/PA tri-state area

Submission Guidelines: One Free submission per author. 
First 2500 words – limited to Fiction (novel/novella-all genres) and Memoir
Application and Submission deadline June 10, 2025
Format must by in a Word document, double-spaced, 1-inch margins, 12-point, Times New Roman or Arial, numbered pages

Submissions will not be accepted for nonfiction, childrens, poetry, anthology, screenplay, or other categories not specific to fiction and memoir (maybe in the future!)

Judging: Submission review deadline July 10, 2025
Pike Artworks Board members, Festival Committee members, and judges are ineligible to compete for awards. Author name and book title will not be revealed to the judges.

Award Presentations: Finalists will be announced at the Milford Readers and Writers Regional Author Book Fair on July 26, 2025.
Winners will receive their awards during the Milford Readers and Writers Festival on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Milford Theater. While not required, finalists are encouraged to attend the festival in September.
