Tim Sohn is a resilient 16-year cancer warrior. He is a devoted husband, loving father and dedicated son with an unwavering commitment to support cancer patients, survivors and supporters worldwide. As the host and co-creator of the groundbreaking weekly live-streamed show, Showing Up: Perspectives On Cancer, Tim created a space where individuals can share their stories, connect with others, and discover resources for healing, hope and resilience. Tim’s exceptional contributions to cancer advocacy have been recognized by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society with the Mission Award in 2022.

With unwavering determination, Tim launched the first-ever Showing Up In-Person Event in Pennsylvania in in 2022. Through all the work Tim does, he lets others know that they’re not alone and encourages them to share their cancer stories – when they’re ready.

Tim is the author of Perspectives On Cancer: Cancer Patients, Survivors & Supporters Share Their Stories, in which he shares his story of living with cancer for 16 years, and 10 other cancer patients, survivors and supporters share their stories of healing, hope and resilience as well.

Pamela Formica

Pamela (Mase) Formica

Pamela (Mase) Formica of Jim Thorpe, PA is the Director of the Lehigh Valley Market of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She is the daughter of Thomas and Anne Marie Mase (Lehighton, PA), sister to Sarah Smith, Ava Bretzik, and Thomas Mase, and mother to Heather and David. As a child, Pam attended Immaculate Conception School in Jim Thorpe and graduated from Jim Thorpe High School in 1986. Pam’s career began as the Northeastern PA Area Manager for News Corporation overseeing the region in Point of Purchase advertising.

In 2008, Pam entered the non-profit world as the Light the Night Campaign Manager for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society where she was given the opportunity to continuously advance her career within the organization and work on various campaigns. Her constant promotions and dedication to the mission of LLS allowed her to earn the position of Area Director of the local Lehigh Valley Market which is part of the New Jersey Region of LLS. Pam is passionate about engaging and expanding LLS outreach both professionally and personally through donor development and collaboration across multiple teams and campaigns, community outreach to people of all ages, and dedication to deliver cost-effective and innovative solutions to maximize the amount of money directly impacting the fight to end blood cancers. Her work with LLS has not gone unnoticed for she has received multiple awards with the organization such as the MVP Philadelphia Market Manager award, Triple Crown Award, the Cultivation Award, and a multi-year recipient of the 20/20 Vision Award.

Due to her extraordinary work with LLS and the community, Pam was recognized as Lehigh Valley Style 2020 Woman of Strength. In her free time, Pam enjoys traveling with her daughter, spending time with family and friends, and in the fall cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles!
